Media packaging supplier Sagoma Technologies found their future in doubt: As oil rockets toward $150/barrel, plastic is getting much more expensive and media packaging is getting more expensive to ship. They needed a eco-effective lightweight source-reduced package.

Part of our multi-pronged solution was to set aside conventional injection molded tray designs. By developing a thermoformed package design we were able to maintain clarity, increase durability and reduce material weight by 85% all while employing 100% post-consumer PET.

The end result is a jewel like package that mounts to printed recycled board and shows off the underlying graphics with no distortion.
